We often think we know material like ceramics and always take it for granted, on the other hand material like Carbon fiber is always perceived as high tech material, but it is very labor intensive material, though it has some fantastic properties. Satyendra Pakhalé never sees materials as high tech or low tech, he does not even want to see various technologies as high tech or low. He always wants to use what is appropriate in a given situation. However Satyendra Pakhalé observes this useless debate about high tech and low tech. So as provocation he created a wonderful piece called Roll Ceramic Carbon Chair by combining two unexpected materials in a seamless manner; so-called high tech material ‘carbon fiber’ on so-called low tech material ‘ceramic’.
